SALISH SEA EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL The purpose of the Salish Sea Early Music Festival are exclusively educational and charitable, and includes efforts to promote and enhance the appreciation and practice of early music in the Pacific Northwest and the United States through the presentation in concert of chamber music and sometimes orchestral repertoire performed exclusively on period instruments by outstanding performers from Washington State, the United States and abroad, and the occasional presentation of other educational activities such as workshops, lecture-demonstrations and master classes and media appearances, in numerous communities throught the region which in many cases would otherwise rarely have opportunities to experience this art and artistry.
