SCARSDALE YOUTH SOCCER CLUB Scarsdale Youth Soccer ClubSYSC travel teams and programs are for all soccer players in the community who want to participate in a top-level youth soccer experience. We are committed to the soccer development of our players: technically, physically, tactically and psychologically, while nurturing their love for the game. Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club (SYSC) is a non-profit organization administered by Scarsdale parents. SYSC, in conjunction with our professional coaching partner, Marcus DiBernardo, organizes and regulates boys' and girls’ soccer teams to play in travel soccer leagues and tournaments. SYSC fields travel soccer teams from U8 - U14. In general, the club fields around 40 teams each year between girls' and boys' teams. These teams are generally registered in the Westchester Youth Soccer League ("WYSL"). The WYSL is a league that is part of both the ENYSSA and the United States Youth Soccer Association ("USYSA"). Some SYSC teams also compete in the New York Club Soccer League (‘NYCSL’). SYSC offers children a local, professionally coached, competitive environment for players of all levels. AboutChanging the Game Project "At a young age athletes have to play as much as possible. Let them play day and night and let them make mistakes." - Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City FC A look into SYSC Take a look at this article from Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. Article To Our SYSC Community. For the 2026-27 season, the USYS age group formation cycle will run from August 1 to July 31, aligning with school year grades to foster social cohesion and increase participation. This change, a reversal from the previous January 1-December 31 (birth year) system, was decided by US Youth Soccer, AYSO, and US Club Soccer after extensive feedback from members and stakeholders. The new cycle is intended to simplify registration for families and improve player development by keeping teammates together in school.
