THE COMMUNITY CHEST OF PORT WASHINGTON

THE COMMUNITY CHEST OF PORT WASHINGTON The primary purpose of the Community Chest is to raise funds to be disbursed as grants to other carefully screened not for profit organizations that provide a wide range of services to the residents of Port Washington. The Community Chest also rents space within its facility at below market rates to non profit organizations,helping them fulfill their missions. In March 2020, the Community Chest initiated and administered the Port Washington COVID-19 Community Response Fund to make COVID-19 emergency grants for food needs, housing costs and other expenses to existing community and faith-based organizations that have strong experience supporting Port Washington residents.
