PAWS OF AUSTIN PAWS' purpose is to provide refuge to stray and unwanted animals. PAWS' mission is to prevent cruelty to all animals by promoting humane standards through education and example, to provide care and shelter for homeless animals, aid in the reduction of domestic animal overpopulation, and aid in the enforcement of laws, including the invest PAWS of Austin takes dogs from shelters all over Texas, as well as owner surrender, placed them in foster homes, provided daily care, training, rehab and necessary veterinary care (vet check ups, vaccinations, HW preventatives, medication, spay/neuter surgery, treatments and emergency care). Dogs are posted for adoption and eventually placed in new loving homes. PAWS of Austin assists pet owners who are unable to care for their pets. PAWS of Austin has education programs in local schools and universities. PAWS of Austin has pet Therapy programs in hospitals and nursing homes. PAWS of Austin helps with animal cruelty cases and disaster response.
