Hope For The Children of Haiti URGENT APPEAL On September 10th, our children and staff were forced to flee our home of 26 years because of repeated and aggressive threats of violence being planned against us. What happened on that fateful day was nothing short of heroic. We are safe now but we are left with the daunting task of having to raise funds for a new home for our beloved children and school operation. Read on to find out how you can help HFC in this unprecedented time of great need. Give the Gift of Life DONATE NOW Robin Young of NPR’s HERE & NOW spoke with HFC Founding Board Member Craig Miller about our current struggle. LISTEN Urgent Appeal – DONATE R E A D Send a Child to School SPONSOR A CHILD What We Do Hope for the Children of Haiti has run a children’s home in Port-au-Prince since 1996. We also run a school for our children and 350 children from the surrounding neighborhood. As needs arise, we have stepped in to start a school lunch program, a path to independence for our children 18 and older, and a medical care program. Learn More How to Help There are so many ways you can help support our children in Haiti! Sponsor a child in need so they can grow in a gentle, loving environment. Donate to our children’s home and school, which helps with housing, education, food, medical support, and much more! We always need donations of clothing, shoes, and other essential items. We even have opportunities to volunteer or intern with HFC, or visit Haiti yourself! Learn More Who We Are Marion Austin co-founded HFC in her late 60s. She believed in empowering our Haitian children with the tools they need to succeed, knowing they could one day become Christian leaders and role models in the Haitian society. Marion’s beliefs are upheld to this day through HFC’s statement of faith, vision, and mission statement. Learn More
