Deaf and Hard of Hearing Institute
Data sourced from IRS 990 public filings
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Institute The mission of the Deaf Institute is to take the good news of Our Lord Jesus Christ to deaf and hard of hearing people. Because deaf people have a unique culture and language, the gospel needs to be presented in a way that speaks to them. Our work includes direct contact, training of deaf and hearing leaders, and helping new and established deaf ministries and deaf churches. We also seek to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the deaf by teaching parents sign language, teaching them to read to their deaf children, providing toys and other goods to parents upon learning that their child is deaf and assuring them that their child can lead a normal and productive life.
